The
goal of the Teamsters National Black Caucus (TNBC) is:
To
uphold the principles of the Teamsters movement to improve
the workplace conditions and the quality
of life for workers and their families.
To
increase the opportunity for all Teamsters to serve
in Leadership capacities throughout the
International Brotherhood of Teamsters and its affiliates.
To
unite African Americans and other workers of color,
along with other persons of good will
for promoting cultural, civic, legislative, political, educational,
fraternal, charitable, welfare, social
and other activities which further diversity and inclusion.
To
assist financially, morally or otherwise, other organizations
with similar purposes and objectives.
To
engage in various activities to promote the interest
of this organization and its members in
the community and in the nation.
In
order to provide and execute both an agenda and programs
that will assist TNBC chapters and progressive allies
within the International Brotherhood of Teamsters and
its affiliates, the following approaches will help guide
our actions:
Organizing and educating the unorganized,
Being
tender with the young,
Compassionate
with the aged,
Sympathetic
with the striving, and
Tolerant
of the weak and strong.
